As a number of users will already aware Microsoft announced the end of life for support and updates on windows 10.
So where does this leave everyone still on windows 10. Firstly don't panic you have until October of 2025 before it is finally end of life.
You can. Continue as you are till October by which time windows 12 is likely to be available and by a new system then however a lot of customer are very uneasy about being forced to a new operating system which has just been released.
So moving to windows 11 at this point may be the best solution
A lot of customer will want to upgrade their existing computer to windows 11 and then at some point on to windows 12 as well.
Up until windows 10 normal practice has been that there is a need for more ram to support the later version however Windows 11 came with a number of addition requirements before it can upgrade. In order to minimise the pain this was likely to cause it's userbase prior to the release of windows 11 they advised manufacturers to add the additional hardware in as a result if your systems was purchased in 2019 or later then the windows 11 update is likely to work. It will run on the minimum 4gb of Ram required by windows 10 however it is advisable if you want to run any apps locally on the system to have 8 gbytes as a minimum.
Again the good news is there are no additional requirements other than those needed by windows 11 in order to update to windows 12 however the minimum requirement is now 8gbytes and ideally 16gbytes for windows 12 in addition if you have less than 512 gbytes of disk storage on you system an update may be required.
As a result of all the issues and changes we at Tekweb are looking to make the process as painless as possible and have put together a range of products an services to help you get through this process
